About Carolina Blue

Carolina Blue is a grounded crime drama which takes place in the Carolonas and is about loss, corruption, and the moral courage it takes to confront the truth when the system itself begins to crack.

Set in Charlotte, the story follows a haunted investigator who reluctantly leads a fractured police unit after a veteran detective is killed during a botched raid. What begins as a murder investigation soon exposes something much darker beneath the surface of a respected city a network of secrets, power, and betrayal that reaches further than anyone wants to believe.

At its heart, Carolina Blue is not just a crime story. It is a story about the cost of silence, the weight of grief, and the people who choose to keep fighting when doing the right thing could cost them everything.

Inspired by the tone of prestige crime dramas and police procedurals, Carolina Blue was created with the goal of becoming a larger series rooted in the people, places, and tension of the Carolinas. The project blends cinematic storytelling with a strong regional identity, bringing a Southern crime drama to life with emotional honesty, atmosphere, and purpose.

Produced by Carolina Republic Productions, the film represents the beginning of a larger creative mission: to tell compelling, character-driven stories from the Carolinas with the quality, grit, and heart audiences expect from today’s best crime dramas.
